Conversely, when the furniture gets warm it can soften and become supple. Acacia Wood Even though our Acacia wood is finished with a PU coating, this can be damaged by the elements. We recommend that you maintain your furniture on a yearly basis by lightly sanding the top layer and replenishing the PU coating to ensure your furniture stays in great condition. As wood is a natural product that can expand and shrink under different weather conditions, we recommend that you tighten the screws every now and then. Acacia furniture will need to be shielded from the elements when not in use. Use a weatherproof cover for protection from the scorching sun or rain, and ensure that you create sufficient ventilation to your wooden furniture when covered by using an Aerocover support pole in the middle of your furniture. Always make sure that the furniture is clean and dry before covering it.It is also recommended not to be in an artificially heated space when stored. CUSHIONS To keep your cushions fresh, clean, and in sparkling condition store them in a dry place away from excess moisture, do not leave them out in the rain. Sponge clean cushion covers with a clean sponge and upholstery shampoo and leave them to dry naturally. Cushion bags are a great way to store your cushions and keep them in great condition when not in use. Do not store cushions in polythene bags as they may develop mould.
